Getting your bike here
- By Train - Amtrak will carry unboxed bicycles to all stops on their Adirondack, Vermonter and Ethan Allen routes Reservation required and extra fee charged. See the Timetables. (Requires Adobe® Acrobat® Reader) The Adirondack - makes several stops within the Adirondack Park. The Vermonter stops in Burlington, VT where you can take a ferry across Lake Champlain to the Adirondacks. (See below.) The Ethan Allen Express makes a stop in Glen's Falls, just a few miles south of the park's "Blue Line."
- By Bus: Adirondack Trailways 1-(800) 858-8555. Daily trip from Albany NY to Canton, NY. Bicycles carried when "properly contained" and when there is available space.
- Lake Champlain Ferries - Combine your Adirondack bicycle adventure with a "sea voyage" to Vermont. Two year-round ferry crossings and a summer/early fall crossing from Port Kent to Burlington, VT. (Amtrak's Adirondack train stops at Port Kent when the Burlington ferry operates.)
- Travel with your bicycle (Air/Rail/Other) - The lowdown on airlines, trains, airports, etc. around the world. How to get your bike in, on and out of them.
