Internet Bicycle Touring Mailing List: A moderated email list for the discussion of bicycle touring. Recommended. A good source of information with little of the (usually) anonymous "flames" of usenet. Requires easy registration at the website. To keep your email box from being flooded with messagages, we recommend having messages "batched" into a single daily message. Otherwise each individual message will be received as a member posts it to the list.

rec.bicycles.off-road: This group is moderated. Discussion of riding on unimproved roads, gravel, dirt, grass, sand, single track or 4x4 roads. Also discussion of environmental issues related to mountain biking, trail issues, backcountry travel, how to handle conditions (technically and evo-sensitively), off-road magazines and other media.
